Medina County:

Major reconstruction and widening of Interstate 71, including the addition of a third lane in each direction from one mile north of Interstate 76 to one mile south of Interstate 76. The project also includes major modifications to the I-71/I-76 interchange. All barrier wall has been removed on I-71, and traffic has returned to its two-lane configuration in each direction (for the winter season). No additional work will impact I-71 in 2007 or early 2008. The new ramp from I-76 westbound to I-71 northbound has opened; however, no new additional ramps are expected to open until 2008. The project is scheduled to be completed on July 31, 2010.
