Work Zone Safety
Work zones are marked by the familiar orange barrels and signs. When you approach a work zone, remember to:
- Proceed with extreme caution.
- Watch out for construction crews and individual workers.
- Watch out for stalled cars or accidents in the construction zone.
- Drive at the posted speed. Remember, if you are cited
for speeding in a construction zone, your fine is doubled.
- Don't change lanes or pass while in the construction zone.
- Leave plenty of room between your vehicle and others around you.
